Following Your Bliss or Starving Your Soul?

I am riding high this week after spending an amazing few days with my Alchemy of Business Group!

One of the themes of our group meeting was:
Follow Your Bliss!

Do you ever find yourself caught up in working hard, pushing yourself to stay ahead (or keep your head above water), going it alone, hoping that somehow, someway, you’ll come out on top but never being sure how that could really happen?

I call this “Driving for Dollars” because it’s all about driving yourself into the ground, doing what you’re doing for the money (and killing your soul in the meantime) instead of fulfilling your life purpose.

I was trained as a lawyer, and that’s certainly how my life was as a practicing attorney. I had the view and the salary but those golden handcuffs were killing me!

It can be hard, when you have reinforced a pattern of pushing, striving, working relentlessly to be successful. If it’s worked in the past, it may seem scary to follow your bliss. But when you learn to trust how much joy there can be in creating from blissful effort, you have some wonderful surprises in store! Including the surprise that you don’t need to choose between a great income and doing work you love.

I was certainly in my bliss last week, watching the individual members of my Alchemy of Business group reach out for support, take big risks, make
incredible strides and transform before my eyes! In fact, I loved being with my Alchemy of Business group SO much that I’m thinking about launching another group soon for more transformational, dynamic world-changing business wizards in the making! (stay tuned…)
