Kim,
Your thoughts regarding waiting for a relationship and then also "waiting to create the life you want" is something that I have seen in myself at times, as well as once in a relationship there is the tendency to forget about creating the life I want, and to focus only on the relationship. That puts a lot of pressure on partner, almost certainly dooming the relationship to be more than is actually possible. Living the life I want to have creates the space for a partner who would support me as I am and am growing to be.

Another good post Kim! I think you make a key point: If you are looking for another person to meet all your needs and heal the brokenness in your soul... you will be disappointed. Sounds anti-romantic I know, but it's true.
