What’s Worrying You?
Do you ever waste your life worrying?
I wish I could tell you that it never happens to me.
I mean, I teach tools for manifesting. I meditate every
day. I help other people dream big. So why would
I ever waste my life force with worry?
Well, I could tell you that I don’t, but I’d by lying.
There I was in North Carolina, on vacation with my family,
drinking in the beauty of Grandfather Mountain, and I
couldn’t turn off my mind.
I had some big decisions waiting for me when I got home.
Decisions involving some steps in my career. Was I ready?
Could I swing it? What were the pros and cons? What if I took the next big
step and the ground fell out from underneath me? And hadn’t I been
here before? At this same silly ego place? And why was I here again?
I was mulling all of this over as I waited with Bridget for David and Maddie to come back
from the other side of Mile High Bridge.
I’ve always been a little bit afraid of heights. I wasn’t so sure
I wanted to step out there on a bridge that swayed in the wind over a big
gulf in the earth. And as I watched a teenage girl and some grown men
coming back shaken and queasy, I certainly didn’t think Bridget would
be up for it. So I continued to wait and watch, and worry.
All of the sudden, Bridget took off. 9 year old Bridget, who
just learned to walk a few years ago and who is generally lagging
behind in a crowd, made a squealing, joyous, headlong rush onto the bridge.
I didn’t have time to think about whether I’d be scared if I stopped in the middle.
I had to go after Bridget. And when she did stop, and look down, and laugh,
I laughed with her. Because once again she had shown me the way.
When you get an opportunity to expand your experience,
when life invites you to grow into your purpose…
Don’t worry, just do it.
Inspired action is the remedy for worry.
So you’ll be hearing all about my new weekly radio show pretty soon.
I’m running headlong over the mile high bridge.
I hope you’ll join me. Whether you think you’re ready, or not.
